Description
Slippery Elm Bark Powder Capsules
Slippery Elm Bark Powder Capsules are derived from the inner bark of a North American species of elm called ‘Red Elm’ or ‘Ulmas Rubra’. The inner bark of the Red Elm has been used for centuries by Native Americans/American Indians for a variety of healthcare applications. The primary benefit of Slippery Elm is its soothing mucilaginous effect, which comforts a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions.

- Slippery Elm internally can be used to soothe a sore throat and to calm digestive issues such as heartburn or acid reflux.
- It coats the entire length of the digestive tract and as such is often suggested by natural health practitioners for all types of digestive issues such as IBS/Irritable Bowel Syndrome, ulcers, colitis, and Crohn’s disease.
- Native Americans used slippery elm in healing salves for wounds, boils, ulcers, burns, and skin inflammation, while also using it internally to relieve coughs, sore throats, diarrhea, and other stomach problems.
